Yes, I = do want=20 peace - but on honourable and lasting terms. That surely = means that=20 at least some of our past differences will need resolving.=20

Living in peace isn=92t primarily about gritting = teeth and=20 biting tongs - although there are clearly times in healthy=20 relationships when that=92s necessary to maintain = peace.=20

Rather, it=92s about resolving differences by = clearing up=20 misunderstandings, extending and receiving respect where = it=92s due,=20 modifying behaviour where necessary, and perhaps, even = apologising=20 if that=92s appropriate. In short, genuine peace comes from=20 reconciliation resulting from the righting of=20 wrongs.

Anything less is a merely a cease-fire: like = the=20 Christmas footie in no-mans-land mentioned in another = thread. I=92d=20 like to see efforts being made toward establishing a lasting = peace =96=20 wouldn=92t you?

so to help clear up "Missunderstandings" = can i=20 just run through what I Belive to be the main sticking=20 points?

1 that Fibs has "unfairly promoted the = Python"=20 ??
2 That the clames in adds You beleve to be not = correct??
3=20 That Im Fibs "wipping boy" and he calls all the shots?
4 = You=20 & your mag have been keeped away from the python? for = some=20 resion?

My=20 =91sticking points=92 do include those you=92ve mentioned = but it=92s=20 probably best that I explain my concerns in my own words. = Here=20 goes:-

1. Your Disrespect gets right up my = nose. Name=20 calling, accusations, unsettling what=92s been resolved in = Court,=20 arguing points which seem obvious, raising emotive issues = which=20 don=92t seem relevant, taping =91without prejudice=92 = conversations,=20 misquoting and quoting out of context, and the like. Always, = it=20 seems, in an attempt to assassinate the messenger rather = than deal=20 with the message. Your disrespect isn=92t just directed at = me either,=20 but toward everybody who disagrees with you in any way (even = those=20 trying to help you).

2. Your business Ethics = seem=20 wrong to me. Employing Peter Filby to promote your Python = was iffy=20 by any objective analysis. Your booking advertising with no=20 intention of paying was reprehensible. I=92m sure it was a = right hoot=20 for you and Peter when you booked it on the eve of your = departure to=20 Sri Lanka. Telling me from there that =93I haven=92t a = snowball in hells=20 chance=94 of getting paid was, no doubt, very funny at the = time too.=20 Is it still funny? I think not. The customer you caught for = a Bugrat=20 deposit and the one fobbed-off with a poor Nemesis kit = clearly don=92t=20 think so either.

3. Your business looks = Unstable to=20 me. Since you fell out with Zarook, you=92ve been a squatter = in=20 his factory =96 he says you=92ve not paid rent for 3 = years.=20 What=92s more, I=92m informed that you=92ve a stack of = legal, tax,=20 employment and emigration issues piling up against you. It = seems to=20 me that it=92s only a matter of time before one of these = cases results=20 in your deportation, bankruptcy or at least eviction from = Zarook=92s=20 factory.

4. Your Product=92s Engineering. = Whether you=20 like it or not: there are some very knowledgeable engineers = who are=20 adamant that the Python=92s front suspension modification is = lethal.

5. Your Partner=92s Involvement. As I = said=20 earlier, my concern here is ethical. Fib=92s has devoted = roughly 60=20 pages to your products in the 12 issues of 2006 - 10 pages = in one=20 issue alone! Excessive or what? However, it=92s soooo = sickeningly=20 biased as to be laughable. Quoting from the November issue, = page 91,=20 Fib=92s says of Python =93Designed by Vince Wright, one = of the most=20 skilled engineers in the kit car industry=94 and that = it=92s =93the=20 most advanced and refreshingly practical of Cobra = replicas=94 with=20 =93an unusually roomy cockpit=94 and =93one of the = best=20 looking=94. I wonder just how many people concur with = Fib=92s=20 =91impartial=92 opinion? Fib=92s involvement is low on = my snag list=20 because I reckon it=92s been counter=96productive for both = of you.=20 Perhaps you=92ve finally worked that out too, thus = explaining why it=92s=20 at the top of your snag list?

Realistically = Vince, I=20 believe that if I=92m right about any one of the = above points,=20 I=92d be justified in having given you a hard time. So, = it=92s now over=20 to you to evaluate my concerns. If you think any are = justified then=20 you should propose a remedy. If you believe me to be = mistaken or=20 miss-informed then you should explain your side of the = story.=20

As I said, true peace comes from resolving = differences. I=20 don=92t expect all the above to be resolved overnight, but = in this=20 season of goodwill it must be possible to at least start the = process. Believe me, my attitude would completely transform = if I=20 thought you were trying to do so.
