Volkswagen LaVida XR was previously displayed on declaration card, and now opens official display of real car. The new car will be called "Xin Rui", which is younger and sportier than LaVida. It is worth noting that although name of new car contains word “Lavida”, this is not a derivative model from Lavida, it is positioned slightly lower than Lavida and price will be more affordable, therefore it is called “Lavida” abroad. markets.

In terms of appearance, Lavida Xinrui has feel of sunlight. The front fascia is family style, but center grille is thinner and uses car's 3D logo. The headlights have brand new LED daytime running lights that are illuminated by shape of headlight edge and also have a penetrating effect with central grille. In addition, bumper design is also relatively radical, with dot-matrix details inside similar to starry sky version of Lavida, which can be seen as a link to Lavida.
The body size of LaVida Xinrui is slightly smaller than that of LaVida, and overall body is still relatively compact. Greater ground clearance is more comfortable for everyday use. Volkswagen Lavida Xinrui may reflect difference with Lavida in name: younger model and lower positioning of model is aimed at market of young consumers. Volkswagen Lavida's goal is very clear: to lower price in order to enter entry-level family car market and compete with its own brand models.
