Foreign media have filmed candid spy photos of new generation MINI Cooper S EV. Apparently, new car is being filmed, and appearance is revealed without reservation. This is first time that a real photo of a MINI Cooper S EV has been put on display.
The overall style of MINI Cooper S EV continues tradition, and design does not deviate from original MINI theme. Even if you are not familiar with car, you will be confused with current model in terms of front of car. However, if you look closely, you can still see some significant differences. First of all, intercooler air intake on front cover disappeared. Eventually, original turbocharged engine disappeared and was replaced by an electric drive system.
The closed grille is also common on electric vehicles, but MINI Cooper S EV still has multiple air intakes, making it look same as previous fuel version. At same time, headlight part has been redesigned, and inner LED strip is more symmetrical, and visual effect after lighting is good.
The new MINI Cooper S EV continues to feature a two-tone exterior, while rear window area has been further enlarged in combination with a black C-pillar. Oversized wheels don't seem to be standard on all models, but they're believed to be on top-of-the-line models, while hidden BMW-style door handles can be seen.
The design of tail section is more creative, with tail lights reshaped to fit shape of body, and middle section has a cut-through decorative panel that connects tail lights on both sides, creating an easter egg with British elements. The rest of details haven't changed much as expected, and overall shape is still round and dainty, but details are a bit cheap, like open windshield wipers.

After a full transition to a purely electric MINI still retains its style in design, has not lost chain in design, and can even be confused with old model at first glance. This may be good news for car enthusiasts. . In terms of power, no details are known at this time, but it is known only that it will be equipped with a front single-motor electric drive with a maximum output of about 200 horsepower and a WLTP range of about 380 km on a pure electric motor. In terms of time to market, new MINI Cooper S EV is expected to be launched in summer of 2024. It will be released as a 2025 model and there is a good chance that domestic market will be in sync.
