Some foreign media have released spy photos of latest Volkswagen ID.Buzz test car. This time long wheelbase model ID.Buzz was photographed. The new car will be a derivative of ID.Buzz to increase product coverage.

The degree of camouflage on exterior of test vehicle is low, one might even say that there is almost no camouflage, and front part completely repeats design of standard version. Based on classic T1 of past, it combines retro design with ID family design and features a more concise, closed-center grille. However, bumper uses a digital style design, and progressive design also enhances three-dimensional effect of front surface.

The side is undoubtedly corner that has changed most. The regular ID.Buzz pays homage to classic on side as much as possible, but long wheelbase version has a visible elongation. The extended length is fully utilized. in middle, which will make interior of car spectacularly improved.

Overview

ID.Buzz is currently doing well in European market. It seems that for such an entertainment-oriented minivan, space is not its main advantage. However, it looks like Volkswagen is still hoping to increase body size to attract some consumers who want space to work better. In other regions, performance of this model is not so optimistic: on one hand, since price is more than $5, it is not competitive compared to models of same cost. Secondly, relative to overall battery life. In markets outside of Europe, battery life is still an important metric. ID.Buzz has launched a long wheelbase version, which is very suitable for home use. Now, domestic market for new energy minivans has not yet been developed, and ID.Buzz still has enough advantages to seize opportunity.
