As a high-end Great Wall brand, Wei brand has made big strides lately. Like last time at Guangzhou Auto Show, it also released its latest flagship Lanshan SUV. Recently, we from latest batch of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology application listings, we also found ad images of various new brand vehicles, including ad images of two main products of new Mocha DHT and Latte DHT-PHEV.
Let's look at Wei Latte DHT-PHEV first
As for product, this time it is also an annual facelift model, so size of new car is basically same as current model: length, width and height are 4685/1890/1730mm, and wheel base is 2745 mm. The biggest change is mainly focused on design of front and rear of the car.
The front of car also uses latest design language of current Wei family of brands. The popular bezel-less grille is integrated with front bumper. Daytime running lights and headlights at the bottom form a C-shaped design.
The design of tail light cluster also features a C-shaped design to match headlight cluster, and tail also features DHT logo.
In terms of power, declared model is a plug-in hybrid version, and its powertrain matches current model. The engine has a maximum power of 115 kW and a maximum torque of 235 Nm. The total power reaches 240 kW, and integrated torque reaches 530 Nm.
Take another look at new Mocha DHT
It is not hard to find that after facelift, product has also been changed to same design language as Lanshan, and borderless air intake grille is larger than new latte and more complex in shape. , new car also adopts popular split-type headlight group design, and top LED daytime running light group also adopts through-type design.
The shape of tail is basically same as current model, but rear light group has also been optimized. Below are brake lights and direction indicators.
No changes are expected in terms of power. The current model is also equipped with a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system. The maximum engine power is 156 hp and maximum torque is 235 Nm. 396P and 483P.
It is worth noting that this time it can be said that Wei brand has made drastic changes to its products, but given Wei Lanshan brand's previous approach to promoting new models, there is a high probability that these two models will follow suit in future. The exterior design is passed on to consumers. In other words, they don't have to be final final models at this time.
One thing is worth saying, however: after departure of Pierre, main designer of Wei Brand, brand's subsequent products are indeed less stunning in terms of design compared to previous VV series. Currently, even final design work is being handed over to consumers for decision making, which seems to increase interaction between two parties, but isn't that credible?
2023 can be called a critical year for survival of the Great Wall brand. According to relevant information, Great Wall Motors' total sales in 2022 will be just 1,067,523 vehicles, down 16.66% from last year. As a result, only 1,380 vehicles were sold in December, down 86.29% from last year.
