The all-new Geely Panda mini micro electric car has officially released official photos. The new car has a cute appearance, and body size is quite small, it can accommodate 4 passengers. This car first appeared as a model in Geometry Automobile, but then changed plan and included it in Geely Automobile.
In terms of exterior design, Geely Panda mini has a very recognizable exterior design. The shape of double round headlights echoes traditional idea of pandas. The details inside lamp group are relatively detailed, and LED daytime running lights are integrated. In light group, luminous part still provides a strong sense of technology. It's no surprise that a closed air intake grille appears on this car. The charging port is built into grille and has a dual color matching design. After contrasting with cute headlights, it gives an elegant look.
The proportions of sides correspond to proportions of most modern models. The boxy bodywork maximizes space inside car, while some concave and convex shapes are added to increase layering of sidewall, making it less monotonous.
Another highlight is equipped panoramic roof, which is a relatively unique configuration among models of same level. It can be seen from picture that area of the panoramic roof is large enough to cover four passengers. The design of rear of car does not have many features. Due to cost constraints, taillights are square-shaped, which is more casual in design but also in line with positioning of model.
Referring to information on drawings of previous declaration, Panda mini will offer various color schemes and rim schemes. In terms of power, it will be equipped with a single-motor electric drive system with a maximum power of 30 kW, which according to data is quite satisfactory.
The new vehicle is expected to go on sale in 2023 and is apparently aimed at a market segment that includes models such as Wuling Hongguang MINI EV. In terms of appearance design, Panda mini has a good degree of originality, in this highly homogenized market segment, it can still find its own style, which is commendable. The Geely Panda is also a classic model. At the time it was a Geely Global Hawk sub-brand model. Although it was an entry-level positioning, it was unexpectedly expensive, and with good handling. This also pushed back a big rise at that time. However, as a latecomer, this market segment is almost mastered and it will take time to wait and see if it can successfully break through.
