MEV are not set to go into space, but the National Auto Sport Association (www.nasaproracing.com) in the USA has officially classed the MX-5/Miata based Exocet for competition use in 2014. This means the Exocet can compete alongside Factory Five Cobra replicas, Lotus Seven styled kit cars and a wide range of high performance production cars in in the Super Touring championship. Customers of US based Exocet agent, Exomotive, will be fielding their own Exocets in the Super Touring national championship in 2014. Exomotive are also developing different engine options including V6 and V8 transplants.
