Lancia is a relatively niche brand. This Italian brand once made history in rally arena. There is currently little room for survival in markets outside of Europe. Since joining Stellantis Group, brand has regained its vitality with recent launch of new HPE Pu+Ra concept car, which not only combines design of past classic models, but also expresses brand's understanding of future models.

This Pu+Ra HPE is a two-door sports car. In particular, midpoint of front cover extending in different directions is used as base point. It's a little thong-like in shape, but in exchange for a pretty good visual impact, with a glowing Lancia logo and different front cover colors, it's simple and not too monotonous.

The closed grille is a modular design for purely electric vehicles. Lancia uses a high-angle folding surface that is reminiscent of a retro racing car. The design of headlights also reproduces characteristics of classic rally cars of past. Past rally cars often used tape to cover headlights to reduce spread of debris after a collision. This restoration is still in effect.

Bock looks more like a squashed hunting car, with a heavily angled windshield that's pretty close to a Stratos. However, second half is completely different: tail glass is also curved and has a more compact design.

The taillight unashamedly pays homage to classic Stratos twin round taillight design and uses a hollow design, although it may not be used in actual mass production (this car will also likely not return to series production). really thoughtful and quite unique.

If you look up, you will see a completely different landscape. With exception of corresponding load-bearing parts, entire roof is made of glass, which is unusually transparent. This is not most interesting part, roof has a round shape similar to a tank hatch, and shape of such a hatch is very original.

The interior is also full of creativity. Like exterior, interior is also based on circular theme. The entire center console is like a round table in a restaurant. Naturally, there will be no physical buttons, and they are not even as big as expected. Screen. However, middle channel part still retains physical buttons, which are very convenient for switching and other operations, and also contribute to space planning.

Not used to big screen? The whole Pu+Ra HPE center console is a screen, it moves down at a certain angle when it needs to be displayed, which is more thoughtful than those large screens.

If you don't want to waste your attention, you can get driving information just by focusing on steering wheel. Lighting and other functions can also be controlled by buttons, which are easy to operate without breaking overall style. .

In terms of power, this concept car will be built on all-electric STLA platform and is expected to offer a range of more than 700 km, but no specific power figures have been released.

Overview

Italian brands never disappoint in terms of design. Lancia Pu + Ra HPE is just such a car. The car has enough aesthetics. Lancia proved by its strength that not only strange design can show futuristic design, and not only open lidar can show intelligence. However, it's not easy to say whether this car can be produced in energy sector, as Lancia's own strength is not enough to support its mass production, but it's still a model to look forward to.
